Sporting Dog Breed Group

Sporting dogs are cute, athletic, energetic, active and vigilant – helping hunting dogs with their chasing activity. These dogs serve as therapy, rescue, and assistance dogs. In Sportings Dog Breed Group are included Retrievers, Pointers, Spaniels and Setters, where the first group.

Retrievers are oriented towards land and water retrieving games; the second group.

Pointers are focused on games that include finding, pointing and carrying, while

Spaniels and Setters go more towards games that include discovering and flushing.

Dogs of this group, on the other hand, are very human-friendly – that are affected to people and adore sports activities such as playing, running, walking and more. These dogs can easily be trained, as they just love doing exercises, so anyone planning to adopt a sporting dog – it can absolutely do that, as they are proven for being great family dogs, but a training ahead must take place.

The coat of these dogs can be short or medium in length, very thick and waterproofing, curly or wiry – something that helps them if being injured, if stopped or found in unfavorable weather conditions. Some sporting dogs serve as search and rescue, guide and service dogs.
