Working Dog Breed Group

Working Dogs are dogs that adore being busy with a task. They are strong, big-sized smart, skillful, headstrong, entertaining or blue and courageous dogs that can easily adapt in different environments and situations.

They learn quickly and make great companions. These dogs are known for their capacity to resist low temperatures.

Their size is typically extra-large and strong dogs, with a high level of adaptability. They can be engaged in different activities such as watching (protector of properties), pulling (sleds), and rescue dogs (especially water rescues). They serve as hunters too, for hunting lions and big pigs.

They are good family dogs, but the proper early training and leadership is a necessity, as they can be very difficult to handle with, even unsafe. As well, they are most suitable for big families where they can have the needed space and a lot of engagement in different activities. Workings are not so friendly dogs towards strangers, especially kids – as they consider them as a threat. Their coats differ from a breed to another, where some of them are smooth and easy to maintain and some are dense coats that are difficult to maintain.

Let us take a look over some of the most well-known working dogs.
